DOWNTOWN. Serving American-Continental cuisine, the dark-paneled Capitol Grille is located on the lower level of the Hermitage Hotel. This downtown restaurant is a favorite among professionals and locals for business lunches and pre-theater. Breakfast is also a favorite, with offerings such as the Eggs Benedict "Commander Style;" The Nashvillian with two eggs, ham, grits, and biscuits and gravy; and the Steak and Eggs. Fresh pastries, cereals, and pancakes are also available.

MIDTOWN. Originally from New Orleans, Hurricane Katrina forced Chappy to relocate to Nashville in 2006, bringing the taste of New Orleans along with him. Chappy's on Church exudes "Old World Charm" with Parisian street lamps, stained glass and a hand-carved bar from Europe. The extensive menu includes sections like "Seafood Lover's Classics," "Cooking for the Birds" and "Gulf, Bayou, and Swamp Specialties." On Saturday and Sunday, a Champagne Brunch is served for $24.95 (includes "never-ending" glass of champagne, soup or salad, bread, entree and desert).

AIRPORT AREA. Ellendale's Restaurant promises to be "Casual Dining at its Finest." The Saturday and Sunday brunch menus and the live music accompanying the meal supports that claim. Dine on eggs benedict, Belgium waffles, homemade strudels, biscuits and country gravy, or fresh fruit while a piano player sets the mood. Brunch on Saturday is $12.95 per person, while Sunday's brunch is $14.95 per person.

DOWNTOWN. The sleek interior of Germantown Cafe features dark walls, blond wood and tall windows that display Nashville's downtown to the eclectic mix of diners. Southern cuisine is at its finest with dishes like New Orleans shrimp and crab cakes. Though the cafe makes a great place for a dinner date, also try the brunch on Sundays!

EAST NASHVILLE. At this popular upscale eatery, diners enjoy seasonally-changing fare with French and Italian influences, such as pan-roasted halibut, fennel-ubbed poussin, and spaghetti bolognese. The cozy brick-walled dining room creates the perfect setting for a quiet, romantic dinner out. The Sunday brunch also offers to patrons a unique menu with varied dishes like smoked trout with crispy potato cake and French toast croissants with powdered sugar and warm syrup.
