BERRY HILL. If you appreciate a mall with a history, 100 Oaks is one of the Nashville area's oldest enclosed shopping malls. Although the structure is a bit dated, shoppers will have no trouble finding noteworthy retailers like Michaels, PetsMart and Burlington Coat Factory. The Oaks also houses a modern movie theater.

Bellevue Center offers a little bit of something for children and adults of all ages, boasting one of the metro area's more versatile shopping options. Considered by many to be Nashville's best mall, Bellevue offers such stores as Nine West, Gymboree and American Eagle Outfitters. You will also find specialty shops like Bath & Body Works and Hat World. Anchor stores include Macy's, Sears and Dillard's.

FRANKLIN. Cool Springs Galleria, located south of Nashville between Brentwood and Franklin, offers one of the area's most diverse shopping centers. Anchored by Sears, Dillard's, Parisian, and Hecht's, the mall has plenty of clothing retailers like Eddie Bauer, Jessica McClintock, Coldwater Creek, Christopher & Banks, Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Jos. A. Bank, and Aeropostale. Specialty stores include Bath & Body Works, Wild Oats Williams Sonoma, Pier One, Pottery Barn, and Suncoast Video. There is a large food court, and several restaurants surround the mall.

Antioch's massive Hickory Hollow Mall offers more than a million square feet of retail space, including anchor stores like Dillard's, Macy's, Linens 'N Things and Sears. For nearly two decades, this mall has been a shopper's haven, and today it offers over 150 shops including Express, Gap, Body Shop, Charlotte Russe and Aeropostale. There is a food court, complete with a children's play area.

DOWNTOWN. While it may not be the liveliest mall around, it is certainly the most unique. The Nashville Arcade, in the middle of the business district of Nashville, is a two-level shopping mall inspired by one in Milan. Pedestrians have enjoyed this shopping arena since 1903, and today it features old-fashioned merchants like barber shops, peanut shops, jewelry stores and photography studios.
